The Zero Balancing meditation recordings offered here are similar in format with some variations. The guided meditation takes approximately 20 minutes and includes two different meditations: the pyramid meditation and the parallel breath meditation. First, Linda guides us through a pyramid meditation. The pyramid establishes a container for our attention. Inside the pyramid, we can create whatever environment, or field, we choose. The pyramid contains this field, like a glass containing water or our house containing our home. The focus then moves to the parallel breath meditation that involves feeling the breath moving through the body from earth to heaven and heaven to the earth. The words heaven and earth refer to a construct in Chinese medicine that sees humans as vertical conduits of energy between heaven and earth. As we feel our breath moving vertically through our body, we experience our internal worlds becoming more organized, centered, and peaceful. We feel better!
Once you have practiced these two meditations several times, you will find them pretty easy to do on your own. The pyramid meditation and the parallel breath meditation can be done together or separately. Each can be very helpful, even if done for only a few minutes.
